Administrator Configuration:

Navigate to Components --> Catalog/Portfolio V2 --> Add Categories and Images

On First Screen You can change: Category Name, Order and Publish/Unpublish

Publish/Unpublish - Selected Category
New Category - Add new Category to Your Portfolio/Catalog (Category Description)
Delete Category - Delete Selected Category from Portfolio/Catalog
List Pictures - Display Pictures/Entries in Selected Category
Upload Images - Upload Images to Specific Category
Delete Picture - Delete Selected Picture (when You are in the List Pictures)

Navigate to Components --> Catalog/Portfolio V2 --> Edit Entries

Publish/Unpublish - Selected Entry/Image
Edit Entries - Here You can Add/Delete/Edit Description Lines and Link To field.
Delete - Removes Image entry from Portfolio catalog

Navigate to Components --> Catalog/Portfolio V2 --> Configure Frontend

Front Config:

Front Config - Define: Thumbnails in a Row, Thumbnail Dimensions, Portfolio/Catalog Dimensions, Thumbnail Border Color, Thumbnail Border Style, Heading Text, Portfolio/Catalog Color, Front view, Category description size, color, Show/Hide descirption.

Category Thumbnails - Here You can display thumbnails tha are asigned to specific category.
Upload Thumbnail - Asign Thumbnail to Specific Category
Delete Selected - Delete Selected Thumbnail

One more question.
When i click "portfolio" from my joomla menu I want to enter immediatly in the presentasions of basic category and skip the category selection cause i don't have many categories...Is that configurable and possible?

Hi,
I have just installed this component and it is not showing any pictures in the slide show... the images are present in the gallery and the galleries are present on the front page... but when i click on a gallery (no matter which one) no images appear.. it says "undefined".

Please assist?

You need to publish Category and Images from Joomla Admin Back-end!

thanks.. i have check that the categories are published. There is no option to publish individual images though? The area to the right of the list of images is blank i.e. no button to publish

If i tick the image and press publish on the top menu it comes up with "unknown table image name in where clause SQL=UPDATE jos_wmt_portfolio_v2_çategory SET published
Where id IN (image name)

any ideas?

You need to navigate to Navigate to Components --> Catalog/Portfolio V2 --> Edit Entries and here You need to publish images

Funny question maybe, but where/how can I add new entries?
I found the way to edit existing entries, using Navigate to Components --> Catalog/Portfolio V2 --> Edit Entries but that's it...

Hi,you should have another link called "Add categories and images" right above "Edit entries". There is also "Configure Frontend" link. If you can't see these, there must be something wrong with your component.

Thanks, Nick.
I see all three options in the backend menu. The component installed without any problem.
The problem is: I cannot add new pictures in the portfolio/catalog, because there is no button for it.
If you look (almost) on top of this page, you will see the "Edit entries" buttons: back, publish, unpublish, edit entries and delete.
What I'm missing here is a button "New Entry".
In the options "Add Catalog and pictures", I can create a new catalog and upload pictures, but I cannot create new entries in a specified catalog.
So my question still stands: where/how do I add new entries to a catalog?

try this:

Open with any text editor /administrator / components / com_wmtportfolio_v2/toolbar.wmtportfolio_v21.html.php

file and uncomment (remove/delete //) from these two lines:

// mosMenuBar::addNew(\'new\');
// mosMenuBar::editList(\'edit\', \'Edit\');

You should now have a "new" button/s in Components --> Catalog/Portfolio V2 --> Edit Entries
